Up to now, I have lost 7 stone.
My quality of life has absolutely changed immeasurably. My granddaughter is now 18 months old, and I look after her on a regular basis, my weight loss enables me to do a lot more activities with her.
I can walk a lot further and the pain in my right knee has completely disappeared ...... with only a little pain in my left knee, which hopefully will be fixed very soon.
I love shopping for new clothes and looking so much better when wearing them and being complimented on how I look.
I know what I can and can't eat and, how much, and in addition, I am very comfortable going out with family and friends for something to eat.
My first meeting with Prof Senapati went really well - he made me feel very welcome and relaxed and made sure I knew all about the procedure and that I had also done my own 'homework'.
On the day of my operation, the professor put me at ease, and we had a long chat to ensure I was still happy to go ahead.
Post-operation I was looked after by the nursing staff very well indeed - the hospital itself is very professional, efficient, and spotless.
Since my operation, I have had two check-ups with the professor, and I speak to the Dieticians on a quarterly basis. I still work full time, hence it helps me enormously to hold these calls over the phone - avoiding the need to travel the 45 minutes to the hospital.
The Dieticians are fantastic - great fun, utterly professional, and extremely knowledgeable. As I mentioned above I speak to them on a quarterly basis, but rest assured you can speak to them whenever you like - just leave a message with the hospital and they will get back to you.
